11 years ago today I took my mom to see Loretta Lynn at the Uptown. She was my mom's favorite singer and I'm so glad I was able to do this with her. Dad died before I was grown and never got these times #OrphanBoy

You're rich and/or "famous" in Kansas City. You don't need private speak easies for privacy. You're just an elitist snob. All white men leading this isn't surprising

Welp, problem solved! Way to go, super smart leaders! /Sarcasm

Honored that they included me in the renderings for the @kcstreetcar.org pavilion on the riverfront 🤣🤣🤣

My favorite comic so much that when I turned 18 I got a Calvin tattoo. Sadly over 25 years later it was faded and poor looking so I got it covered

Oh my bad, I didn't remember applying for this same job months ago. Sorry your HR is incompetent

I freely talk about my hatred of the Cards, but I don't hate STL itself, so I'm trying to understand what the fuck this shirt means. We both got the racism, we both got the suburbanites that think the city is dangerous. STL was top 5 cities in America, KC only made top 15. This shirt is dumb

11 years ago today I was riding the bus home from work and saw a deer carcass strapped to the roof of an SUV. The Midwest is magic

After all the housing that's been defeated because of tax breaks, these fuckers are going to get us to subsidize their fancy outdoor mall.

Housing for people that make okay money and would increase overall housing stock? Fuck off!

Stores for rich people and Xmas lights? Take our money!

It's completely anecdotal, but I've been going somewhere Monday evenings for years, and while the @kcstreetcar.org was never empty, it was never full. For the last few weeks it's been full. I'm very interested in the YOY data when it becomes available

I've done this before and did The Cranberries "Everybody else is doing it, so why can't we." I'll go perfect comedy album this time

This is the KC BBQ place on the left bank of Paris. They learned how to BBQ from the Meat Mitch guy. €30 is a pretty good deal for a Thanksgiving meal, IMO. Would be cool to try their interpretation

So last week I skeeted about the James Garfield show wondering about how accurate it was. TIL that the author of the book it's based on is local and she's giving a talk at UMKC next week

Haven't bored you with a difference-on-the-riverfront-since-I-moved-in-post in a while. May '17 vs Nov '25

No aurora I'm downtown KC. I blame the Northland sprawl

Repost with an iconic fictional band.

Excited for this to open in the Crossroads!

Not the result we wanted, but at least I got to see Danny Rojas!

CPKC Stadium is lit up 12hrs before the Current's playoff game

We're all Linda Belcher. In KC we're stuck with mayor Q, a sleazy out-for-himself politician

The best thing we can do is stop trying to make car infrastructure pretty and make car infrastructure limited. Make it so incel car bros can't do side shows and fuck up community investment. They don't care about anything but themselves. Isolate them to their mom's basement

I'm hateable enough but the new name for the old KC Star building is going to make it worse. I've only known one place called Grand Place and it's in Brussels. So without meaning to, I know I'm going to pronounce this "grawnd plawse" like an asshole

The new pedestrian and cycle bridge from River Market to the riverfront looks like the structure is almost done, just short of where it will end. I'm sure there's still a ton left to do, but cool to see how much is done

Billionaires still shouldn't exist, but I have to give the Longs credit for what they're creating here on the riverfront. An actual neighborhood built around the Current stadium. If only the billionaire owners of the Royals weren't just looking for tax breaks...
