This is the aftermath of an ICE kidnapping a few blocks from my home in St. Paul—an hour ago. A quiet street full of broken glass and at least three wrecked cars. The target of the kidnapping was taken away by ambulance. He was on a stretcher and covered by a sheet, though a cop said he was alive.

in fact you do not have to show your ID when you board a train in the united states, you only need to show your ticket (which can be purchased without an ID)
Markwayne Mullin defends "show me your papers": "If you're here legally, there's nothing to hide. Most people already are walking around with a government-issued ID, meaning your Real ID or your driver's license. If you go board a train here, you gotta show your ID."

We just shared the link from NBC about three warehouses being bought to house immigrants, but it now looks like we seriously underreported how many are being purchased. Based on information many of you have shared, the number appears to be over 26.

This, from @jamellebouie.net is exactly right. And I think so many folks have refused to see or admit what Trump is because admitting implicates them, or their families, so denial is easier.

The proposed new VA-10 basically looks like the old VA-10 from last decade

Back then it was part of GOP gerrymander

Now it is part of Dem gerrymander

Shows shifting coalitions in Virginia

Although Dems probably will be able to hold it rest of the decade

The world factbook was an invaluable resource in asylum petitions—a place where the federal government acknowledged in writing that, for example, Tibetans face systematic repression in China. I don’t like to have it vanish.

If the plan was just to put WaPo to work for Bezos's other business interests, I'm pretty sure they could have done that in a less shambolic fashion. So while Bezos's attempts to cozy up to the regime are for sure part of the problem, don't discount his hubris, myopia, and petulance.

They can’t be allowed to slink back into their communities quietly. Expose them. Arrest them. Convict them. Imprison them.
