Looks like the guy who murdered him had a clear view of his empty holster.
The Washington Post published a clear video of federal agents removing Alex Pretti's handgun moments before he was fatally shot. There's nothing in the video to suggest Pretti even reached for his weapon.

FYI: Dems in the senate can't defund ICE. ICE is funded by the Big Ugly Bill. Shutting down DHS on this vote wouldn't touch ICE, but it would shut down FEMA, TSA, Coast Guard, etc. Shutting down ICE requires taking back Congress in the midterms. Dismantling DHS requires the White House in 2028.

There are no steps there. States control elections. The federal government has no control over elections at all. States elect their representatives to the federal government under state law. If a state wants to use marbles to decide a ballot issue that is 100% on the state.
