Women don’t “just leave” abusive relationships because it’s not only the most dangerous time for the victim as in the abuser is literally most likely to kill her when she leaves, but abusers usually gain control of everything.

The man who raped me and his family have consistently stalked me for two years, and he personally stalked me for years before I even knew who he was. I think it’s quite weird to watch someone who wants nothing to do with you, but they don’t get to take any more of my happiness or my life.
