Between "dress better when you fly" and seeing several articles about "why don't Americans dress better when they" in major publications, it feels like there's a creeping move toward classism disguised as fashion or taste happening and it feels very intentional.

I saw a friend off at Melb Airport today & was struck by how civilized and kind 🇦🇺’ans are at public comforts. We can sit at a cafe, do a spot of shopping, take a free seat w/o needing a ticket or entering security. I recall the Daniel Moynihan train stn in NYC and the absence of seating ANYWHERE 1/
