Thomson Reuters is majority-owned by the Woodbridge Company, a holding company for the billionaire Thomson family of Canada. The company has worked with ICE for years, this isn't new. Shareholders have discussed the human rights implications for years too. www.theguardian.com/media/2021/j...

Theoretically, a Canadian government that wanted to shield people from the crisis could place serious price controls on groceries, rent, transportation and energy. It could commit to real public health programs in the face of viral chaos down south. It could re-invest in community programs/services.

cbc just gave this guy a whole puffpiece where he lied about how his nazis are totally not friends with those other nazis.
it would be completely irresponsible journalism, except that cbc isn't even pretending to do journalism at this point.

For those who don't know, remigration is a European far-right concept of ethnic cleansing via the mass deportation of non-white minority populations.

I took this photo today in SASKATOON within hours of the ICE remigration Gestapo executing another person in the US.

what's the intersection between Alberta separatists and the re-migration nazi goons hanging out on bridges in Edm/Cal? How much of the foreign interference money is flowing through to them? We know ICE is just a proud boys redux, what about Alberta brown shirts? CBC Edm ask a real question challenge

ICE is sending these kids to the concentration camp in Dilley, Texas, where they're preparing to have so many children that they're opening a new school there. They're actively hiring teachers now. I reported on it last month. We have to get people out of there.

Alberta Health Services docs obtained via freedom of information request show that up to 85 percent of provincial EMS dispatches for drug toxicity were not reported by the Alberta government, @drugdatadecoded.ca reports:

Up to 89 percent of ambulances for overdoses concealed in record year, as Alberta health care careens into crisis
The Alberta government says it has “the most transparent data reporting system in North America" for drug toxicity. In reality, internal data manipulation causes most emergency calls to go unreported.

I feel like the media should be looking into this case harder. How was speed not a factor if the woman was dragged/thrown 20 feet? Why was the initial statement that the light was green? Are there other witnesses?

I visited the intersection of Edmonton’s first pedestrian fatality. Lots of talk about it being illegal to cross on one side. The sign prohibiting crossing is not visible if you are walking north to south.

...I don't know what that intersection actually looks like today.
But it's fair to say that a lot of our roads, sidewalks, curbcuts & crosswalks are shit right now.
So a 78 year old dying because both feet weren't inside the white lines deserves better than this.

NEW VIDEO: North America’s Elevator’s Problem

Elevators are absolutely essential to modern cities..... and it turns out North America kind of sucks at them. We partnered with @sightline.org to look into the many issues plaguing our elevator industry, and what it might take to fix it.
The United States has the fewest elevators in the rich world, with Canada only a bit ahead. We teamed up with @uytaelee.bsky.social of About Here Videos to investigate why, exactly, North America sucks at elevators.
