a lot of studios are having this internal conversation to give themselves permission to use AI tools but this will just produce assets that are less good than if you just hired a junior artist or designer to make them at significantly cheaper cost
Larian CEO says Divinity could have gen AI assets in it but only if the tools are trained on the studio's own data.

interesting that both mega raichus seem to be a combination of him and pikachu. x has pikachu’s color scheme, y had pikachu’s body. a little frustrating when raichu’s biggest problem is never being let out of pikachu’s shadow. but i can’t complain too much after begging for this for a decade.
