Bill Cassidy specialized in treating liver diseases as a doctor

he set up nonprofits to vaccinate kids in Louisiana against hep B

he knows exactly what this disease does, he spent much of his life fighting against it, and he knew exactly what RFK was when he voted for him

he has no excuse at all

this is your fault, Bill

personally, specifically, your fault

you could have blocked this guy, you more than anyone had the power, and you chose not to do it

you own this and I hope you choke on it

BTW, this is very much true of the seasteading movement who somehow think their sovereign islands would be safe, I assume because they would hire protection. Protection that might get better offers to turn the other way....
My (very oversimplified) take is the main difference between the two, is besides the government, Anarchists also think corporations are inherently evil. Libertarians? Not so much. They both are oddly optimistic about how things would work after everything is torn down.

"One of the most staggering things is that the Roberts Court has ruled for President Trump 90 percent of the time in shadow docket cases. Lower courts keep restraining the president but the Supreme Court is repeatedly saying that the president and his party are above the law"
The U.S. Supreme Court has cleared the way for Texas to use a gerrymandered congressional map in next year's midterm elections. @ariberman.bsky.social explains.

there are of course many examples of political constituencies that have in fact killed scores of children (en route to some other evil goal), but I can't offhand think of any historical examples of a political constituency organized for that specific purpose
Breaking: After contentious debates and three failed attempts at a vote, a federal vaccine committee decided on Friday to end the decades-long recommendation that all newborns be immunized at birth against hepatitis B.

This is the third newsroom (at least) with an FBI leak about the suspect being a Trump supporter. Seems some FBI folks — presumably not the political hires —are very eager to get this out there.
BREAKING on MS NOW:

Brian Cole Jr., the suspect accused of being the Jan. 6 pipe bomber, confessed to agents that he planted the bombs and has indicated he supported President Trump, according to two people familiar with his interview.

Damn it, LOL! Both sides of this are true and I'm 100% guilty...looking at you present that was "shipped" days ago, purchased 10 days ago, but only a label has been made, gift was supposed to be delivered today. 15th is estimated. But Mr. Client, I am almost done with your project.....
ME: they shouldn't be able to say 'your order has shipped' when they've just created a label. That's not shipped.
ISAAC CHOTINER: so, you've never claimed to have a task underway when you've merely opened the file?
ME: that's not-

They seem just fine defending and circling the wagons for certain colleagues. Just seems to depend on who they are.🤷‍♀️
If journalists will not defend their own colleagues, who or what can we expect them to stand up for? If they will not defy abuse, how can they defend the truth?

It was physically impossible for that boat to reach anywhere close to the United States, even before it was a flaming upside-down wreck, and Tom Cotton knows that. He's not that stupid, he just thinks everyone else is. This kind of dishonesty is inseparable from egotistical arrogance.
Q: What did you see in the second strike?

Cotton: "I saw two survivors trying to flip a boat -- loaded with drugs, bound for the United States -- back over, so they could stay in the fight."
December 4, 2025 at 6:15 PM
I'm fine with mistaking Cotton for Hawley. LOL. Both are bad guys in different ways.
*Except when it might be spilled in his vicinity by a mob he helped rile up, at which point he runs away as fast as his spindly legs will carry him

The USPS posting a NINE BILLION DOLLAR LOSS!!! sounds terrible. Certainly worse than if you said "USPS costs thirty dollars per person per year" even though that means the same thing and more accurately describes a government service

What sticks out to me is how absolutely unafraid of prosecution this psychopath is. Part of it is narcissistic personality disorder, but it's mostly the perceived weakness of Democrats. Should they retake power, no one expects Democrats to hold anyone accountable.

This "tariffs are sometimes good" nonsense is literally the worst possible Democratic message.

Your political opponent literally blows up the global economy and your response is "maybe he has a point." Astounding malpractice.
For today's Democratic Daily Download: meet @deluzio.house.gov.

He explains how Trump's trade policy has been a chaotic mess.

We're offering hardworking Americans real policies to strengthen their families and communities—not fake populism to distract from tax giveaways to huge corporations.

The United States Postal Service was never supposed to be a profitable venture.

USPS like ALL other public works is a govt service to the public, where People can receive letters regardless of the individual's capacity to pay for receiving it.

USPS is a service. It’s not a business. Saying it “operates at a loss” totally misunderstands what it does

European reaction to the new American national strategy document
The headline, the main takeaway from a European viewpoint is this:

The transatlantic relationship as we know it is over. Yes, we kinda knew this. But this is now official US White House policy. Not a sppech, not a statement. The West as it used to be no longer exists.

cool that the official position of the administration appears to be that black people don’t really count as americans
"The Donald Trump administration has changed which holidays qualify for free entrance to national parks, removing two holidays celebrating Black people and adding the president’s birthday."
National parks change prioritizes Trump birthday over days honoring Black people
Free entrance days at national parks no longer include MLK Day and Juneteenth.

We don’t talk about just how many things Reagan broke nearly enough.
The bottom 90% lost a collective $79 trillion in wages over the past 50 years.

Why? Because the top 1% ate up an increasingly larger share of the national income — so that $79 trillion flowed to them instead of the working class.

The greatest trick of all is trickle-down economics.

“There is a risk that the focus on the second strike and specifically the talk of ‘war crimes’ feeds into the administration’s false wartime framing and veils the fact that the entire boat-strikes campaign is murder, full stop.”

Publishing all the other boat murder videos but refusing to release the one of the two survivors being killed is an admission they know exactly how bad it looks. There's no other distinction to draw there, no reason to publish the others while withholding that one.
