Autistic settler in so-called Ottawa, he/him

A damned nerd and dirty anarkiddy your father tried to warn you about. Artist/writer, plans for revolution, making a sandwich, and finally starting a webcomic. Not necessarily in that order.

I don't blame you. @helps.octranspo.com didn't even put out a notice or an alert.

OccasionalTransport.ca did put out an Alert because we were notified and trains seem to have been affected by it.

But thankfully no real fire?
Either way great coordination OC/RTG.

Right now, Donald Trump, Kash Patel, Kristi Noem, and other officials are participating in a panel about "Antifa," threatening to "destroy the entire organization [sic] from top to bottom."

This is a good time to revisit our guide to preparing for repression:

Even if you're into authoritarian communism because of "but state power is necessary" or whatever, Stalin isn't a good guy. If you read biographies of the Russian revolutionists, the organizers who were on the ground making it happen, they all fucking died to Stalin's purges.

The numbers of anything Stalin-related are hard to be certain about, because they are politicized by both shitty sides of the shitty cold war that ravaged the world in the 20th century. "Stalin did nothing wrong" and "Communism is a unique evil that only capitalism can fight" are both shit takes.

the US prison system is one of the worst things to happen in the history of the world, but this statement isn't true.

It's true that there are potentially more prisoners in US prisons right now than there were at the height of the gulag system: about 1.8M USA 2025 vs 1.7-2.4M USSR 1953.
there are more people currently in us prisons than were ever held in soviet gulags

Musk wants to be a Renaissance man, but he's not even a paleolithic man.

Paleolithic people made art, cared for the sick, & got together to share resources & ideas.

Musk would have died alone, crying that no one saw the genius of his plan to monetize hitting yourself in the head with a big rock.
