Some percentage of (dumb) young people are probably always gonna think "wouldn't war be cool?" simply because they haven't meaningfully observed it themselves. Older folks know the answer is "no, no it would not be cool" already.
The breakdown by age is also interesting

It has always struck me as odd that northern-style cornbread is the sweet one. Southerners put sugar into everything… except for their cornbread? Huh??

Big day, everyone! We've finally solved the gender gap in political ambition. Women can also claim they are qualified for a job on the basis of vibes only!

Bam, equality.
Madison Sheahan, a 28-year-old former fish cop who Trump up-jumped to No. 2 at ICE, is the newest candidate in #OH09:

“I absolutely think I’m qualified for the job. Because at the end of the day, what really makes anybody qualified for any job?”

before I go to bed, I feel obliged to emphasize how tonight’s rampage in northern Minneapolis was, by no exaggeration, a glorified episode of klan night riding by federally deputized groypers. Yes, DHS always had these people but the difference now is that they’re in charge and with a $175B budget.

The revelation that Trump cheats at golf is hilarious. Just a weak little manbaby loser in every single way.
A number of senior Republicans felt alarmed and exasperated by President Trump’s efforts to overturn the presidential election, transcripts of secret grand jury testimony from the Georgia election interference case against Trump and his allies recently obtained by The New York Times show.

We also don't prey upon lonely young men and turn them into unmarriageable ghouls. Why is nobody blaming the podcast bros?

Women will have more babies if they can find good, kind, co-equal partners earlier in their fertile years.
Leftists address this constantly. We advocate for universal health care and child care, guaranteed pensions, decommodified housing, and all kinds of other things that would directly address these issues. What we don't do is say "more white babies" which is what is really being asked here

The US and other countries face aging, shrinking populations. Conservatives have shaped debate over the issue. Some liberals say it's time for progressives to weigh in. n.pr/3NH3yso

Self-selection is one hell of a bias. Nobody who signs up for ICE should be presumed to have good intentions.
I think it is probably a bad idea to put clearly unhinged, angry psychopaths in federal law enforcement positions.

Actual subject expertise - wow.
I have written on this tactic for over a decade. I hold a research grant on vehicle ramming attacks, and I curate what I believe is the largest database of these incidents, over 500 cases worldwide since 1987. 2/7

This is correct. ICE is there in the first place because of an evidence-free racist conspiracy theory promoted by a 23 Year old YouTube propagandist. They manufacture pretext.
This is the thing about the "Don't give them the pretext to send in more feds" arguments. The administration is using its own murder of an unarmed civilian as the pretext to send in more agents. They do not need a pretext and will invent them if they want.

Yes, JD. Let’s ask them if they think a stay at home mom, avowed Christian, and widow of a veteran deserved to be shot in the face and left to bleed out in her own car after dropping her 6-year-old off at school, for the crime of looking out for her neighbors. Let’s ask everyone running for office.

maybe I'm just jaded from spending my entire adult life watching sexual abuse committed with impunity, but i dont think X will suffer any consequences.

society likes to pretend it cares about sexual violence, but actually doesn't.
X basically industrialized the creation of fake porn of women who don't consent. Others did it first, but Grok made it normalized and centralized: publicly visible, instantly creatable by anyone, regardless of who's being targeted and dehumanized. Only question now is will X suffer any consequences
