How little do you have to think of yourself to put up with this shit?

Is the money and power worth it, Marco?

I liked it when my name wasn't in the news like this...
Trump dozes while Marco Rubio speaks to him directly next to him. Just insane optics.

I probably shouldn't admit this as a reporter, but I never turned news alerts back on after my med leave. I'm online all the time. I'm going to see the news. I don't need it buzzing my phone if I've managed to get offline for five minutes. It's helped my mental health.

My bipartisan IRS MATH Act with Senator Bill Cassidy is now law.

Now, if you mess up your taxes, the IRS has to tell you where you made a mistake and how to fix it.

No more spending a fortune on lawyers or hours to find errors.

That means fewer headaches and more money in your pocket.

After a warmer and drier than normal November, the Cascades are lacking in their usual snowpack. And things don't look much better for December. It might not even be until January when we get meaningful mountain snow. That in turn could mean a nasty drought next summer. The climate crisis is real.

I’m observing this a little from the other end- I am a mature (mid thirties) grad student. Some of my younger classmates are struggling, and sometimes *I* am struggling with things I used to do pretty seamlessly.

Look, I am not making excuses, but a few things have changed between 2011 and now.
An issue we're seeing at all levels of university is that many students are simply refusing to do *anything*. They aren't reading the syllabus, aren't following assignment guidelines, aren't engaging with material, ignoring deadlines. And this might seem like old news, but it truly has ramped up.
