ok at risk of coming off as That Friend Who Is Too Woke, Pokemon Legends Z-A's worldview is insane, right? Like everyone in this game is complaining about rent, debt or interest. It underpins so much of the conflict lol. and I don't feel like it's there for comedy or to make a point it's just there?

There's a whole generation that learned irony before sincerity and now they're trapped. Can't be earnest without a layer of self-deprecation. Can't be enthusiastic without signaling awareness of how cringe enthusiasm is.
