Knowing the things he had to do before his death like sell his memorabilia makes the loss of James Van Der Beek more heartbreaking.

Age verification?

My mom was almost trampled in a crowd while trying to buy me a Cabbage Patch Kid for Christmas.
Age verification?

I had a VHS rewinder. Not a VCR. It was a separate machine that could only do one thing: rewind VHS tapes.
Age verification?

I had a Blockbuster video card

my most Middle-Aged Dad-coded trait is being genuinely and unironically psyched “The Lincoln Lawyer” is back

the team is going over names on a white board of disgruntled ex-clients who might have a grudge against Mickey and “DIOCESE OF LOS ANGELES” is not crossed out yet, which really made me laugh

If you’re going to have ASL interpreters as part of your performance, maybe continue to show them onscreen for those at home.

Yesterday, five-year-old Liam and his dad Adrian were released from Dilley detention center. I picked them up last night and escorted them back to Minnesota this morning.

Liam is now home. With his hat and his backpack.

I have been opting for "unplugged" watching (no device with me) and dead tree reading for this reason: we have so many distractions these days and I don't think it's just the kids who are struggling.

It really hit me on a long flight how much deeper my concentration was when I had nothing else
On a trend us film professors have seen. Free link to “The Film Students Who Can No Longer Sit Through Films” from THE ATLANTIC yesterday.

Remember, children, hate-watching is just as good as any other viewing statistics to streaming companies.

Just wait for 3rd party clips of the AI show, don’t watch out of morbid curiosity. Love and hate are identical to internet companies, indifference is what they fear

I don’t particularly care for Home Alone, but the John Candy and Catherine O’Hara scenes are one of my favorite short films.
