So for tomorrow night's stream, I'll most likely be working on Splatterworld's inventory screen, turning it from vertical to horizontal. Original screen and a mockup of what I'm aiming for:

Current progress on splatteworld: here's the retooled shop screen. Not final, but a big step. Item names are placeholder, but we're limited at ~14 characters max due to how inventory screens are laid out. But it's still a damn sight better than 8. Before and after attached.

Under him is the character list, and below that is the player's "Horror", the currency in the game. To the right is the item list, limited at 8 characters per item, Buy/Sell options below it. At the bottom of the screen is shopkeeper dialog; he's asking "What are you buying?" All text is 8x16. Splatterworld translated shop screen. Shopkeeper is at the top of the screen, above a window that says "Weapon Shop." Immediately to the left of him is the character list. Below both of those is the item list, which now allows up to 14 characters per. Below that is the player's horror (currency) on the left, and Buy/Sell on the right. The 8x16 text has been changed to 8x8, and the selection sprites have been widened horizontally and shrunken vertically to fit the new names. At the bottom of the screen is shopkeeper dialog; he's asking "What are you buying?" This text remains 8x16.

Rather than leave this buried in the thread, gonna drop it top level: some basic Splatterworld progress, text is extractable, though 1) some control characters need to be defined, 2) all the blocks need to be enumerated, and 3) it needs to get pushed to a g-sheets spreadsheet instead of flatfile.
