"What happens when an industry spends 15 years telling talented young journalists that personal brand is currency, that access is the game, that being a character in the story makes better content—and then acts shocked when someone takes that logic a few degrees too far?"
The Olivia Nuzzi Comeback Is Everything Wrong With Modern Media
Olivia Nuzzi’s comeback isn’t a personal scandal story—it’s proof that today’s media rewards access, personality, and controversy more than ethics.

Any news organization that doesn't stand up, and very strongly (which the Bloomberg response also does not) against Trump's ridiculous bullying of their employees, had better take a hard look at its mission and duty to the public.

I really hate it when scientists keep saying that “we need to rebuild trust in science,” because it implies that scientists are to blame for the mistrust rather than the millions of dollars of dark money that have funded political attacks on science in order to advance a far right agenda.

“in a remarkable concession, they told [Judge] Nachmanoff that they never presented that revised indictment to the full grand jury for approval. Instead, they said, they had the foreperson sign the new version before presenting it to a judge, while a deputy foreperson was also in the room.”
Justice Department lawyers said that a full grand jury never reviewed the final indictment against former FBI director James B. Comey.

The admission that could threaten the viability of the case.
Justice Dept. acknowledges full grand jury never saw final Comey indictment
The acknowledgement came during a hearing in which a federal judge heard the former FBI director’s arguments that he is the target of a vindictive prosecution.

I just asked Grok in English, "What was the purpose of Zyklon B at Auschwitz?" Its response lists two functions:

1. Delousing and disinfection (early use and officially stated purpose)
2. Mass murder in gas chambers (primary purpose from 1942 onward)

"There’s no small amount of wishful thinking fueling the constant chatter about the issue on the left, but the public evidence that the 79-year-old president is not doing well is hard for even the most diehard MAGA types to ignore."
The Epstein vote is a big deal, even as Bondi schemes a way to avoid acting on the bill.

It shows Trump is losing his grip on the party.

And the main reason, I suspect, is he is really showing his age these days.
