I had five weird little short stories put out into the world in 2024, and I've had five in 2025 - that'll be it before year end, most likely. If you want to read any of them, you can find them here:

I cannot tell you how many awful, soul-destroying things I would rather do than look at my LinkedIn Year in Review. Absolutely no need for it.

If you wrote this year, you’re a writer.

You don’t have to publish.
You don’t have to post it.
You don’t have to share it.

If you wrote this year, you’re a writer.

I’m always saying the same shit and I mean it every time. In the age of soulless AI slop, nothing matters more than your voice, so write/create whatever makes you happy. Make it weird. Make it dark. Make it queer. Make it surreal, diverse, sexy. Make it political as fuck. Do YOU.

Come, let me tell you the saddest story - of a woman who thought she had a bagel left for her lunch, but who had miscounted catastrophically.

(It's me. I'm the bagel-less woman.)

When I qualified as a psychologist, I signed up to an agency as I was briefly out of work. Never took a job from them or went for an interview through them. THIRTEEN years later and they still occasionally call or email me!

An excellent piece by Yasmin Khan in @theguardian.com – and I’m very relieved the preposterous case against her has been dropped. www.theguardian.com/food/comment...
I called my recipe book Sabzi – vegetables. But the name was trademarked. And my legal ordeal began
The granting of patents and trademarks to foods and words from the global south is part of a long colonial grab. It’s time to realise we share what we cook, and what we call it

It's my birthday soon so I bought myself some flowers. I could have asked for them from someone else, but I'm trying to get better at buying myself little treats 😊

I don’t know a lot.

But I know a lot about dinosaurs.

Now we all know dinosaurs lived for millions of years right?

But does you mind actually wrap around how long they dominated for?

Lets get a little perspective.

Did you know Allosaurus never saw flowers but T.rex did?
