When we warn that quislings like Sarah McBride are genuinely dangerous, this is one of the major reasons why.
They act as gentry tokens that give their cis colleagues cover to be blatantly transphobic and pretend they're somehow "representing" trans communities by doing so.

When someone makes an apology post it's worth looking at how they respond when people don't accept the apology. If they want to mitigate the harm they'll understand why people might not accept their apology but if they push back/act like they deserve forgiveness their apology isn't worth anything.

Someone just told me his anxiety has gotten a lot lower since I started managing our team so now I'm tearing up at my desk, I work really hard and it means a lot to know it's paying off in ways that matter.

In the first Trump administration I saw a lot of "Melania join us!" signs at protests in DC and this does the same thing, simultaneously infantilizing these women/robbing them of their agency and absolving them when these are choices they're making.

Things are bad in a lot of ways and seeing nice posts about trans men/transmasc people, especially but not exclusively from trans women for whom I have so much admiration, is always really lovely so if you're ever inclined to say something nice and don't know if it will matter trust me that it does
likewise seeing trans guys absolutely inhabit their gender and their body changes makes me so happy. throwing an affirming "dude" to a trans guy makes my DAY.

A friend of mine in Chicago just shared a video on IG of an ICE operation near her house. The operation happened just minutes before the neighborhood Halloween parade. ICE used tear gas and multiple parents had to wash their kids' (including toddlers) eyes out.
