One of my boring theories is that a successful progressive movement needs way more union presidents in public life.
My stupid galaxy brain continues to be "a foundational problems with the modern American left is that its luminaries are largely entertainers & academics, two groups who not only don't have to pass policy but actually benefit from continued leftist marginal status by retaining their cool cred."

We must note that all the condemnation of Tucker Carlson platforming Nick Fuentes has been about anti-Semitism and there has been an alarming and revealing silence around his anti-Black racism and white supremacy. When the head of the Heritage Foundation apologized, he only cited anti-Semitism.

Here's another bit of conventional wisdom Zohran completely blew away: His speech was at well above a 10th-grade level. It was complex, erudite, punctuated by deep and fluent references. You don't have to condescend to voters with baby talk! Part of re-establishing norms is speaking like an adult.

Something maybe worth noting is that all the frog costumes and signs and good-natured memeing came about because a wide spectrum of Americans saw someone in direct, brave confrontation with ICE—getting pepperballed and standing their ground—and thought “that’s awesome. That person is a hero”

This Labor Day weekend, every American needs to think about the hardworking laborers who grow our food being tormented by our government!
Did you know that 2/3 of US fruit/nuts & 1/3 of US veggies are from CA & ~76% of our farmworkers are undocumented?
We rely on them! Let's have their backs!
