Cars are fun and handy things. They are also bottomless money pits that have destroyed the world. So, sort of a wash really.

A tricky thing about modern society is that no one has any idea when they don’t die.

Like, the number of lives saved by controlling air pollution in America is probably over 200,000 per year, but the number of people who think their life was saved by controlling air pollution is zero.

My bike commuting origin story is that I didn’t want to spend my hard-earned $ to park my old car while I worked in downtown Denver, so I tried biking.

And here we are.

I guess what I’m saying is… saving $ on car parking is a slippery slope to safe streets advocacy.

Beware! 🚲🚶🏻🚌

Think public transit “doesn’t work” in your city or suburb? If that’s true, it wasn’t a foregone conclusion— it’s because of choices made. Land-use, funding, infrastructure & operational decisions. If u do fundamentals like frequency wrong, it fails.

Make good choices.

Companies marketing overpowered vehicles for racetracks are selling them to drivers unfit for public roads, causing daily death and destruction.

These products have no place on shared infrastructure and should be regulated out of marketplace existence.
