Anybody want a highly realistic, life size human skull made from a 3d scan of a 14th century archaeological site in Visby, Sweden? I make and sell these. DM for details.

After previous threats of DHS goons at the super bowl, it's super fucking cool to hear fireworks and not know if it's my neighbors celebrating or being deported.

I think both Medieval peasants and Victorian orphans would be fine in 2026 but if you showed this to an English computer nerd in 1983 he'd be like Oi mate <explodes>
"Kaneda" by Groogy (2024), a gorgeous recreation of the iconic bike slide from Akira on the ZX Spectrum in its standard graphics mode.

Call me a puritan, but the ad for 𒀭𒈕𒈨 crosses a line. I don't think we should be celebrating figures like that!

And I hear they banned 𒀭𒅆𒊒𒍪𒍪's spot!

I am a humble, deeply weird guy who normally talks to no more than 1.2 other humans in the course of a day.

With an afternoon of nonstop online interactions, I’m feeling like a Mountain Goats protagonist.

I‘m downstairs getting ready for dinner and my wife’s computer has one of her writing playlists going and I am kinda shocked by the overlap between Sigur Rós and Wolves in the Throneroom.

Well, having had a post breach containment, I see that I've entered into the endgame portion of this particular idle game when the numbers are going up so fast they need scientific notation.

I'm really enjoying seeing folks discover the wonder of Incantation Bowls!

The superb Youtube channel Esoterica did a great deep dive about them here:

This was also true of the AI podcast company that threw out a bunch of numbers that I guess sounded impressive to the NYT but if you know anything about the podcasting business it was clear they were making no money at all. It was just a shell game to trick gullible investors
To be very clear, that lady in the NYT article is not making any money with her hundreds of AI slop books.

She makes money by *convincing people* she makes money that way and getting them to pay her to teach them how to do it.

It's an evolved MLM, and the NYT is helping market it.

forgot it was the superbowl since i live in hockey land now, but today i was reminded that a) it is today and b) i am so curious what % of people in the US, and elsewhere, understand that Puerto Rico is a United States territory & Puerto Ricans are US citizens but unable to vote in US elections

Looks like the folks that make all their money on 'teaching' people how to be book mills needed a fresh round of advertising today.

I wonder why *they're* having a hard time finding marks?
