Anybody want a highly realistic, life size human skull made from a 3d scan of a 14th century archaeological site in Visby, Sweden? I make and sell these. DM for details.
I will NOT write a scriptural support of John Carpenter's Prince of Darkness.

I will NOT.

I WILL NOT!

and what if i said not only is erotica indistinguishable from porn, it's fine to make that comparison, and the only reason you would take issue with it is because of your own hatred of sex workers

I feel like every day in the mid '20s is like the coprophagic feast from Pasolini's SALO, just watching every 'respected' institution in the world smearing shit all over their faces, eating it and leering and blowing their shit breath in Our faces, for the glory of fascism.
This has to be one of the worst magazine covers I've seen in the history of humanity.
Fucking incredible dystopian shit, comparing super rich people risking millions if not billions of lives just to make more money to people that risked their life actually building incredible things that would then make millions of dollars for super rich people.

I went on a short hike today to try this new pocket drone I got and it is very neat and will certainly let me do things like document riding the Bay Trail, but it's very difficult to escape feeling like I just paid money for an IRL escort quest.

To be fair, it only got attacked by monsters once.

Had an interesting project just sort of ... land in my lap.

I'm really seriously considering riding all 350 miles of the Bay Trail system (in bits and pieces) and shooting a bunch of video of it using a small drone, while talking about the history of the part I'm on.

“The easiest way to never become a bastard is remembering this:

Books and thinking and good words are all yours. Music is yours. Ideas are yours. You possess them in an open cage of heart and you never shut the door. You should let them move in and out of you and not worry if they will come back.”

Fuck.

I cannot blame 'novel research' for me currently reading a 1984 thesis on axiomatic functionalism.

Apparently, you can just put a link with that title in front of me and I'll go read it.

Now that the novel is drafted, I've gone back and looked at the stats Scrivener tracks.

There was a period of time where I did a *lot* of work on it purely in my head while out walking. I mean, reciting, in my head, entire scenes. Did about 4 chapters that way. (My chapters are 4-5k words)

I think I finally came up with a really succinct description of my novel.

"Never trust people with power."

Wow. Having finished my novel, I feel like one of those black room diaphanous husks from Under the Skin.

I have watched the first three minutes of Reflection in a Dead Diamond, and it is incredible and I am in entirely the wrong frame of mind to watch it right now. Switching over to Dark City.

The novel is done.

3 years of work. God knows how much research.

900 words down, about a thousand to go to *the end of the novel*.

I've had the very last bit in my head for months now and it's going to be really good to finally get it out.

Gonna take a breather, then dive back in.

Let's see if I can bring this plane (novel) in for a landing.

Kicking off the writing with one of many Philip Glass pieces that replicate what the inside of my head feels like when it's all working the way I like.

Got up at 7:30am today because I'm going to finish my novel and I also needed to run out early and get a couple custom cycling bottles from my cycling group.

I am now having second coffee, then I finish the fucking book.

Snuff porn isn't made in a scummy warehouse in LA or the basement of some small-town Satanist like they told us in the 80s. It's not even made secretly by shadowy elites like the QAnon dipshits said. It is made and promoted openly by the US government in the name of law and order.

GASSY JACK!!!
December 6, 2025 at 6:02 AM
Was just thrown completely out of my writing groove by research.

I needed to know when Vancouver was founded…

And I discovered that it was originally called Gastown. Because the guy that owned the biggest mill in the small settlement was called Gassy Jack.

I’M TRYIN’ TO BE SERIOUS HERE GASSY JACK
