"Autistic people and other neurodivergent individuals are not burdens—they are early warning systems. They feel when the structure is cracking long before the cracks spread to everyone else. To ignore them is to choose blindness" - @bumblingbard42.bsky.social

I think maybe the #SEND review needs to look at making education itself more suitable for meeting more children's needs? Start seeing #inclusion as a feature of the system rather than as an add on. If we did that alongside additional support for children with high level needs we might get somewhere?

@suecowley.bsky.social wanted to acknowledge how much your recent posts have influenced my view on true inclusion. At a training session yesterday I gave you a shout out for how we need to look at the whole process differently
Thank you

Wasn't expecting during this era was how left wing my parents would become:

"If you managed to get to our age and you think any of this is ok, you're basically saying you've learnt nothing. Being older excuses, nothing."

Swear they are making me look lazy here.

Here I am in 2020 in the flimsiest, most pitful PPE - like so many other NHS staff, some of whom died from the Covid they caught in their hospitals.

Tory peer Michelle Mone - who today lost her legal case & must repay the govt £122m - dares to claim she’s been ‘scapegoated’.

What, Michelle? 🧵

They thought it would take 193 years to clean the air in London, but they did it in 9

I'd really like it if we stopped only crediting Singer in CPD

"We should attribute the coining and theorising of neurodiversity to the pioneering activists who collectively developed them in the autistic community alongside neurodivergent ‘cousins’" ⬇️

Personally for me teaching is much closer to an art and a craft than a science which obviously puts me completely at odds with the current ongoing narrative but hey ho. 🤷‍♀️ #EduSky
