With news of the two-child benefit cap being lifted this week, it feels progress is being made.

But, progress can also happen daily in schools and other settings through taking a poverty-informed approach to working with children and families.

This points to a deeper confusion over who should bear the pain of fiscal consolidation. In Spring, the Chancellor's answer was disabled people; yesterday she asked everyone to pay a little more but especially richer households
