I am sure I've played something worse, but for some reason I subjected myself to play all the way through Mortyr: 2093-1944, which entailed me playing through it multiple times because I'd wasted too much health and ammo and made the game unwinnable a few times

Buy the land deeds, trademarks, and corporate entities to every golf course on Earth. Have them painstakingly digitized. Release that data into creative commons. Convert the clubhouses to public community centers. Allow the courses themselves to be reclaimed by nature and designate them as parks.

Yeah, and that guy has verifiably *always* been like that, so I support the effort to (finally) break from him.

Just...from this far away, it feels like the classic Doom community has never not been angry about something, these past few years. 😥 Maybe the good news just doesn't reach me out here.

The 1915 Revolver, meanwhile, is note for note a copy of a British Webley revolver (this one, the Mk. VI, started production in 1915, matching perfectly).

Interesting. The Murder-.50AE appears to be, visually, a hybrid of parts from an M1911A1 (the shape of the muzzle and placement of the slide release and mag eject button), and a Mark VII Desert Eagle (the dovetail mount on the top of the barrel, the trigger guard).

I probably shouldn't be vagueposting about this considering I'm sure some of my old contacts from there still follow me, but frankly, I'm so disconnected from the Doom community anymore that it's not my place to go into detail about this. My perspective is still warped and the heart still aches.

The first news that reaches me about my Doom port of choice in 2 years and it's another giant community blow-up over a dev decision. Just when I'm starting to wonder if I could go back, I'm reminded that I probably shouldn't.

Just as well I haven't played Doom in earnest at all in those 2 years.
