Here are 3 ideas to make Parliament reflect Aotearoa better:
1. Hang a copy of Te Tiriti in the debating chamber as a reminder of what is at our foundation.
2. Create space for haka to be performed in the debating chamber.
2. Allow haka from the public gallery with permission.

“Luxon said the government did not want to "send a message to young people" that they could "just drift into welfare and that's it".

I know someone with *two* entry level roles who got *hundreds* of applicants.

There aren’t enough jobs.

Media accepting this propaganda at face value is concerning.
Watch: Christopher Luxon defends cuts to benefits for youth
The prime minister says businesses are 'crying out for young people' as advocates decry the changes as a punishment.

There's a biography of Chris Knox out this week - the author Craig Robertson contacted me a few years ago, as back in 1995 when I was at Ak Uni, I made a half hour documentary on Chris and he wanted to see it.
Anyway, I dug out the digital file and it's now online, enjoy! youtu.be/VQjvic02S8M?...

🚨A new under-reported NZ Bill: Summary Offences Amendment Bill closes 2pm Mon 6 Oct.
The Bill risks criminalising legitimate protest, is vague, unnecessary, gives wide Police discretion, allows arrest without warning, & could chill free expression.

Spain’s rapid wind and solar growth has CUT the link between gas and electricity prices 🌪️☀️

🇪🇸’s decoupling of gas and electricity prices happened faster than in other European countries, making it one of the cheapest power markets in Europe.

Anyone here register for a .music TLD? I did so and found the whole experience disappointing and not useful. I was not able to use the addresses as my own website instead I was relegated to a lame info page.. They now want to charge me lots of $$ for another year?

MAZZY STAR - The Black Sessions 1993 (Flac)
There was a time long since past, where record companies failed to realise that the unheard or unreleased recordings by major artists they had sitting in the vaults were of value. The packaging and releasing of an ever increasing amount of classic bootlegs usually with anniversary editions by major artists and their most acclaimed albums is now an avalanche and difficult to keep up with. Thankfully the following site: https://superdeluxeedition.com/ (of which I have no affiliation with) is a must visit, if you wish to keep up with new and updated classic releases. The packaging and box sets being released now are such high quality and beautiful objects to own. I recently took delivery of Bob Dylan's Bootleg Series Vol. 12: 1965-1966 The Cutting Edge Deluxe Edition, it was highlighted on the previously mentioned website. Amazon were selling it for £45 so I took the plunge. It's the first Dylan bootleg series I've bought since Vol. 7 No Direction Home. Getting back to my point, the following classic bootlegs are being readied for forthcoming release: **Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here** 50th anniversary (Has unreleased tracks that appear on the boot: **David Bowie - I Can't Give Everything Away** 2002-2016 box (Includes the Montreux Jazz Festival show from 2002 with a near complete performance of 'Low'. **Rolling Stones - Black and Blue** 50th anniversary (Includes the Aux Abattoirs, Paris June 1976 show and the Earls Court show) **Bruce Springsteen - Nebraska** 4CD edition (This one is a bit cheaper than the Tracks 2 issue!) **Jimi Hendrix - Bold As Love** 4CD (This includes the TV show from Sweden in 1967 as well as tracks included on many of the Alternate Bold as Love bootlegs) **Little Feat - The Last Record Album** 4CD (Includes the Orpheum Theatre, Boston 1975 show) The blog is rapidly becoming obsolete, anyway onto boots that have not been released, yet! **Mazzy Star - Black Session (French radio show)** **France-inter, Studio 106** , Maison de la Radio **26 October, 1993** **Session No. 38** recorded live at Studio 105, Paris, France for a radio broadcast There have been two bootlegs downloaded this year so far, that eclipse all others by some margin. Tom Waits 'Barfly on the Wall' previously posted and this one featuring Mazzy Star. This is a quantum leap from any versions circulating. The sound quality on this is fantastic and it has always been a favourite Black Session of mine, despite its previous flaws. While I wouldn't recommend judging a band, new to yourself by hearing a bootleg first. Begin with the studio albums first but this is an exception and you can start here if you've never heard the band before. It comprises tracks from their first two albums, She Hangs Brightly (1990) and So Tonight That I Might See (1993) plus three covers and was included in the 'Bootlegs of the Year 2015-22' document on page 52. **Setlist:** 01. Mary of Silence (8:45) 02. Ghost Highway (3:41) 03. She Hangs Brightly (6:44) 04. Bells Ring (5:22) 05. Halah (3:24) 06. Blue Light (4:56) 07. Ride It On (2:58) 08. Into Dust (5:15) 09. Give You My Lovin' (3:53) 10. Blue Flower (3:50) 11. So Tonight That I Might See (9:40) 12. Hair And Skin (4:07) 13. Rock Section (9:01) LINK
