Then the vast majority of progressive speakers on the matter have been terrible communicators. The case generally made is about inequality with a focus on the argument that the poor and working class should have that wealth to improve conditions. Which is true and right! But its not the power topic.

I never much cared about the *moral* assertion that billionaires should not exist. It's true but never seemed like the most pressing moral failure to resolve.

The REAL reason billionaires shouldn't exist is entirely practical: they're an apocalyptic-level threat.

The whole point of democracy is so one person's derangement does not become everybody's problem. It's social hygiene. The fact the richest men in the West are a mix of grotty twelve year olds and deranged apocalypse fanatics is a problem, and we should be honest about it.

Always take sentences using “the Cloud” or “the Internet” and try replacing those phrases with “A shed in Virginia” to see how they hold up. “Our service is fully based in a shed in Virginia”; “All my files are in a shed in Virginia”; “A shed in Virginia was designed to survive a nuclear war”, etc.
