I'm not joking when I say I believe decision makers, corp or gov, that withhold critical treatments and preventatives from the population should at minimum be charged with negligent homicide for each person who dies earlier than they might have had they not made that change
My PrEP appointments, including HIV/STI testing and the Rx itself, used to be 100% free.
Now they are full cost, and my insurance won’t cover testing every 3 months.
I’m off PrEP for other reasons, but I couldn’t really afford it unless I rely on another free HIV/STI testing service.

I'm not immune to the main problem with engineers (wanting to see if I can before thinking about if I should)
I'll even admit reading about adversarial networks and the like back when this shit was contained to little experiments like thispersondoesnotexist tickled a part of my brain that likes reading about niche applications of tech, but if I knew it was leading here...

Man I'm not going to quote it but I just saw a post citing LLMs as useful for assistive technology and helping people recognize emotions and can I just say AI generated subtitles have proved constantly worse than prior auto Gen tech and also godspeed parsing my facial expressions with a computer
