In the moment? Probably someone here IRL who knows way more about intentional organizing than I do. Time lol I have a full time job so there’s so many educational zoom calls I miss. Is there a group chat or message board out there?
People hop from primary to primary because they’re open primaries. There’s sparse communication, territorialism, and fear. Everyone claims they’re the most left. I’ve also noticed one party is mostly teachers, academics and social workers and the other is business people.
Weird is right. Like, I’ve never really done protests before, but in doing so I ran smack into one of the reasons we’re in such a state. The Democrats are largely unorganized, especially in rural Texas. They over rely on things like facebook, and don’t have proactive outreach. It’s difficult when
I’ve tried to make that clear for my locals too. For a lot of reasons it ^has^ to be the most white bread Lib crowd+ youth, because it’s a mess ^we^ caused. AND I’ve been trying to encourage my local Dems to work the crowd for voter registration purposes.
Golly, I’m glad you understood what I was trying to communicate. I was half asleep. Yeah, the different agencies are pulling different things away from one event.
Finally reading @quinnae.com's Log Off and it's as good as I thought it would be. The book underscores a lot of things I have felt and discussed about social media IRL, but with a lot more crispness and insight. Almost cried more than once, too, cause SHEESH.
O/T but this guy is going to be here and he spoke at the Brazos GOPa few months ago. I couldn’t find anything about him online other than he used to be a teacher.

I’m really annoyed about this, because my group (well, me) is running one of these protests and this is just going to make even more people turn up. It’s even more annoying because people seemingly have no desire to meet and communicate or be proactive in any way shape or form.
