Tell me more about your #AwesomeCharacters

Ok about to have a long drive. Might post this and dip for a bit (but I will be back!)

So, tell me how your characters keep themselves occupied during a long horse/car/ship trip!

Games? Stories? Podcasts?

The short rays of her crown suggest to me that her sunlight is muted, cooled by her loss.

I can't believe you missed
Now you can kiss my fist
Take a look
At my left hook
A beating rainbow

You say you know kung fu
That clearly isn't true
Your tactics blow
I've fools to throw
A yeeting rainbow

What if you bring a bucket of dry ice with you?

The rabbits are an excellent touch.

The closest I have are the magmaids, elementals of molten stone that swim around in underground lakes of melted rock with their dolphin-like tails in Prophecy #72. They eat rocks and assist the MCs as best they can.

Please be conscious if you protest this weekend that there are feds at the protest. They look like you and they sound like you, not like Steve Buscemi in that one clip with the skateboard. Thinking you can spot them is self delusion. Nobody you haven’t met needs to know your last name.

Gorgeous work! Your character designs are terrific.

"Oh no! They're showing that there's more than one way to tell a story, and that mine isn't inherently superior! I feel threatened!"
Trying to tear other people down just looks so insecure. Let other people world-build if that's what they like; plenty of readers are into that.

Terrific work! I love the way you do light and textures, and I love the clearly-capable women in your art.

I've seen people saying that Jesus would be pro-nuking the Middle East. It's just "That popular hero with visibility and status would do whatever I want to do, myself" with zero interest in that hero's actual messages or themes.

CW: mention of pet death
In Prophecy #71, Zedenko consults with a history professor to learn the ultimate fate of a line of dead rulers. The professor has been cursed with very long, semi-prehensile eyelashes, among other things.

#WriteSky #WritingPrompts #WritingCommunity #writingprompt
“Here, here, here …” she whispered to herself, her eyelashes waving side to side as they turned the pages with surprising speed. “Right. Mid-Mordraltan period. The Luteneskens were the last dynastic family on the Rookrook continent and rulers of a small nation called Trongle, and the family died out over four centuries ago. The ‘heart of kings’ bit probably refers to the Luteneskens’ lineage, since they believed it was the key to the legitimacy of their rule. But maybe there was a cousin or love child or something … Here, here, here …”
She flipped to the next page, then pointed her finger there, there, there. “The populace hailed their extinction as time to join with the rest of the region in abandoning monarchy, and Trongle got absorbed by Quisoll immediately; it makes up most of the present-day Soloban region. The Tronglian populace made a thorough search for anyone who might claim a right to rule Trongle again, but no one was found. They did execute the family pets, though, just to be sure.”
“So someone probably escaped, then,” Zedenko nodded. He groaned inwardly; how the hell was he going to find some bastard child who’d made it to another country and reproduced for the past four hundred years?
“Nope,” Ladrint snapped. “Their lineage was a disaster for at least its last five generations; there’s such a thing as keeping the royal blood too pure, you know? Along with the behavior that made the citizens glad to see them die out, it gave the family several physical characteristics that made them impossible to miss or mistake for someone else – including spinal problems that made it hard for them to even get around. If any of them had still been alive, they would have been found.”

14. Villain's henchmen and/or followers
In Seff's story, the Grekaan organization has puppet strings on a growing number of civil servants and industry leaders, along with numerous loyal mercenaries. Former member Kevra is a necromancer with undead soldiers at her command.

My favorite season has been autumn for most of my life, but I'm beginning to wonder if it might be spring. Maybe it's because the cold hit so fast this autumn that I'm not enjoying it as much as usual. But yeah, I like the transitions and the moderate weather.

I find it interesting that every culture has its own creation myths, and every one of them says, "We were the first people ever." No one says, "Yeah, we used to be another ethnicity, but then we moved over here and did our own thing."

Basically, humans have always been full of shit.

Sending you my very best support. Don't let them say you're accountable for things they didn't teach you; I've had several employers do that to me.

I haven't heard it, but now I'm interested. Do you think I should or should not listen to it?

When you hear the crashing sound, then realize it was your knee banging into something and you have a too-long split second to anticipate the pain that's coming before it finally hits.

Good heavens, what HAVE they told you?
Is there anyone you can ask for this information?

I can unfortunately relate to this, too. I once moved to a new apartment and somehow left my entire drawer of kitchen utensils in the old place.

Kalamata olives smell like Satan's gym bag.

Tommy Boy was surprisingly mediocre.

If you play Jingle Bell Rock in my presence, I'll be getting a lot of coal in my stocking.
