My 3 climate home truths: 1) The climate damage from fossil fuels is permanent. 2) without an explicit plan by govts to quickly end fossil fuel use we’re losing the human friendly climate. 3) Without subsidies and a free pass on climate damage the fossil carbon corps assets are stranded. Every time you make a post like this you normalise the climate destruction of the LNG industry. And LNG is 33% more climate damaging than coal. I am thoroughly sick of repeating myself over and over and over again on this issue so do me a solid, engage those big brains and THINK!
Australia doesn't have a gas shortage problem.

We have a gas export problem, and Australians are paying the price.

Great to see this issue being discussed in Parliament this week! #auspol

The notion that, in a heating world, forests could mop up fossil carbon emissions, was always entirely magical thinking. Bad land management can easily leach significant quantities of carbon but it’s a one way street, regardless of so much bad empirical “science” saying otherwise.

I think these players all understand perfectly well, the charade they are participating in...

To be explicit, we executed a German U-Boat commander who said he had to sink lifesaving gear / “inadvertently” kill survivors because it might give away his position, thereby potentially resulting in the loss of his submarine.

We executed multiple members of that crew.

Btw this is the core of the con here. The elaborate codification creates the illusion that decisions are ultimately bureaucratic. So a minister can say “all the rules have been met for this [insert ecocidal project] development so my hands are tied” when the final discretion was always the govt’s.

All these galaxy 🧠 observer takes re why we’re in the 💩 ignore the fact that an uncountered multibillion $ disinformation project is deployed to hide the truth. If it was really so hard to get people to see harsh realities and support policies to deal with them this wouldn’t be the case.

Seeing so many in the climate and environment movement celebrate the Albanese govt’s profoundly ineffective “reforms” to the EPBC legislation is pretty disturbing. I know you’re all desperate for some hope but you really need to sharpen the fuck up. You’re being conned by a pantomime.
