Energy policy is not climate policy. The imaginarium of denial that Labor and industry have constructed and which Speers et al dutifully operate within avoids their confronting two policy 🐘: all fossil carbon mining contributes to climate change and carbon offsetting/capture, both 🌳 & 🏭, isn’t real.

The notion that we can substitute our failure to stop burning fossil carbon with “large scale carbon removal” is magical thinking. There is no scalable tech that can do this. These types of projects are essentially fossil carbon industry disinformation to promote delay. Hence the ease of funding.

I’m fed up with reading climate related media and posts that cover everything except the cause and solutions. Is it any wonder most people are clueless and falling into despair. C’mon guys, lift your games. If you’re not writing about a fast exit from fossil fuels then you’re part of the problem.
