As quoted in a (limited availability) NYT article, the acting director of ICE *criticized* the nativity scene. At no point did he order/demand with any authority for it to be taken down. The actual entity that did do that? The archdiocese of Boston.

There was a debate about paywalled news on here and I think the reason it riles people is because of said content’s frequent bad actors.

For example, this headline goes to a paywalled article. The headline is, quite literally, not true. ICE did not actually do this. But I bet people clicked!

I think as you can clearly see by this very thread's own comments most things are "the best we're ever going to get" from Democrats because they've realized they can half-ass anything they want and whenever it doesn't work it will always be the fault of the left for not voting hard enough.
Biden was the best we’re ever going to do on student loans because a very clear lesson there was that there is apparently absolutely no electoral benefit to moving heaven and earth to try and help student debtors
Congrats again to the people who continuously said Biden did nothing about student loans for four years! www.cnbc.com/2025/12/09/s...

it might seem surprising that the people who said “look, let trans people live their lives, but i have Reasonable Concerns about sports and toilets” aren’t up in arms about this, but what you have to remember is that those people who said that are liars who were lying

Sadly and begrudgingly I sort of appreciate Labour for shining a light on the obvious fault in American liberals’ “shut up and vote the lesser of two evils” mantra in that your entire argument is based on a subjective lie to yourself that your side isn’t also evil

The entirety of the left/liberal friction in Democratic Party politics is summarized by how one looks at basically anything Hakeem Jeffries says and if your reaction is "Jesus fucking Christ we could do so much better than this" or "I like the way he's not Donald Trump"

That's it. That's all of it.

Biden, Harris, Schumer, and Jeffries ALL ran in 2024 on bragging how many more people Democrats deported than Republicans, and how badly they wanted to pass their oppressive immigration policy bill! But Trump won, so now that's all bad, but also you deserve it for not voting for Democrats.

People are very mad that those disgusting, uncouth Chapo boys called it dead-on years ago that libs don't actually mind half of the things Trump is doing, especially with immigration and torturing trans people, they just don't like that a guy they find personally upsetting to them is doing it
The problem with the latter half is that when Trump isn't president they "go to brunch" and pretend like everything is a-ok under Democrats. In reality, they're just better at managing the empire's crimes while keeping these people asleep.
