This is straight-up state law violation, no? It's a downzoning under SB 330 unless they had a way to spread the other 364 elsewhere in the city. Presumably Housing Element law too, tho I don't know which provision.

Except for the dumb SR-37 environmental exception, Gov. Newsom did a good job signing the bills sent to him by the legislature.

The last couple years he has vetoed some critical bills, so I'm glad he was more liberal with his pen this session.

In case the terminology is unclear, this circulation statistic is print circulation. From what I can tell, they had about 2.5m digital subscriptions a year ago, lost 300k when Bezos spiked the Harris endorsement, lost another 75k by February after editorial overhaul, no idea what it is now.
