Pulling this thread a little. Ed's watching Izzy dance & laugh with the crew & feels something comforting & warm in his chest. That's his Izzy, all relaxed & smiling. By the end of the night he's falling into Ed's lap, loose limbed & sleepy, with a smile just for him.
I'm imagining this as a "Save the Last Dance For Me" situation. Eventually. Not during Calypso's Birthday but eventually Ed & Izzy get to a place where Izzy's flirting & dancing with everyone else & Ed's just smiling fondly, knowing who he's going home with at the end of the night.

Recurring UD fic things: Izzy injured & in bed. Ed is Sad & Guilt Ridden about something he did in the past; if he did it to Izzy, Izzy doesn't think he should feel guilty. Stede doesn't have the emotional intelligence braincell. Ed loves Izzy; Stede is ride or die for Ed. Jokes, sometimes.
recurring sera fic things: tsundere Izzy, Stede's special interest is pirates, bickering as foreplay, too many intejections, a lot of time passing between scenes, everyone is always crying, childfree parent Stede, projecting onto multiple characters equally, love = a feeling of safety
