One of my favorite material things is my grandmother’s security badge from when she was a Rosie the Riveter in WWII—she started working at Penn Salt in Wyandotte, Michigan when the war did, and stayed until she retired in 1976

Holy moly: The Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope construction is completed! That's fantastic news — much needed right now — and I am very much looking forward to when this beast launches. It has 100X the field of view of Hubble.

One. Hundred. *At the same resolution*.

Obviously I rescued books. Who can resist $2 preloved books. Picked up the Vanderbilt book because I remember visiting the Vanderbilt Hyde Park NY mansion when I was a teen and was absolutely fascinated with them for a bit & a cool new local library tee I had to have.

I really don't need to be rescuing more books but I am working at the library for a little bit. Will I make it out of here before stopping into the bookshop. I have already purchased their new t-shirt. 😅

Have a dilemma.. I am going to our friends tomorrow evening for our annual dinner and then Christmas lights excursion and I am always the bread person. I don't feel like pulling my sourdough out today. Its so chilly she will take forever to rise. Do I *gasp* bring store bought bread or suck it up.

I am not religious but sometimes I work on faith based projects. I am sure this may resonate with some in my feed & for those that it doesn't just scroll on :) The cinematography is beautiful and there are some fascinating stories shared. I did a voice over & built the site.

Non-magic and magical folks alike can be Potioneers, taking advantage of the natural magical elements.

Yet, some magical folks don’t partake, their abilities allow them to do what potions offer.

Or at least the non-imaginative think that.

Yap at me, #DecemberWorldbuilders! Does your world have any chemists or alchemists? Are they living at the time of your characters' journey or are they ancient history? What did they discover? What *is* chemistry or alchemy in your setting?

Perhaps we have imbibed too deeply from mugs decorated with the inspirational quotes telling us to be extraordinary, to never settle for mediocrity.

Perhaps we are all striving too much to be interesting, amazing, and excellent ... when we should simply be true, honest, and content.
