Emmanuel Garcia, the 15 year old autistic boy who went missing & landed in ICE custody, is still not home with his mother

He disappeared last week & Houston PD handed him over to ICE

A disabled child was given to ICE instead of attempting to contact his family

Disability is one of the only minority groups you can join at any time.

Everyone thinks they will be the exception.

It won’t happen to them. They will “try harder” and overcome.

They think we’re failing.

It is not a moral failing and very few people will be the exception.

The trailblazing transgender rights activist Miss Major has passed away at the age of 78.

Miss Major was a lifelong organizer and participant in the ballroom scene. She took part in the 1969 Stonewall Riots and was injured by the police — but she kept fighting.

It was hard not to look at the desk & not to see him there, yet she knew better. He was gone on a diplomatic trip, granted a short one, but that didn’t make it any easier. She tried to distract herself as best she could now that she was the one waiting on his return.

27 years ago Matthew Shepard was murdered in a violent hate crime.

His family couldn’t give him a final resting place due to fears it would be vandalized.

Mariann Budde, the Bishop who stood up to Trump, gave Matthew a spot in the Washington National Cathedral.

We need more people like her.
