one overlooked but common symptom of autism is that some emotions are too detailed to render and we instead feel them as gastrointestinal distress

I will cheerfully have this argument with the ND folks who want to draw a line between themselves and conditions that include psychosis. I don't support it. The tent is big enough and we are not so different. Unfollow me if you need your neurodivergent label to exclude madness.
And also within neurodivergence, which originated to describe the autism spectrum but expanded, there's a hierarchy. The rest of them don't wanna be us & will slur us & slam us. They said I'm NEURODIVERGENT, what you thought I'm insane like you?

Living with ARFID is hell. Combine it with another eating disorder or two and type 1 diabetes..

Your body can't eat. But you'll feel sick if you don't but you'll get sick if you do. And nothing feels like the right thing

Avery Mann, 40, who was asked to give “a few examples” about their autistic traits, started with a handful of relevant anecdotes but felt they didn’t want to leave anything out – “just in case that’s the thing that diagnoses me.”
“What if I’m not autistic?” asks person handing assessor 91-page dissertation about life
An autistic person is anxious that they won’t receive a formal diagnosis at their upcoming autism assessment - despite providing the psychologist with a folder the size of Tolstoy's War and Peace. …

Disabled people do not owe you their medical history.

They do not owe you their diagnosis.

They do not owe you an explanation.

Benefits are exceedingly hard to get and the process is punishing & dehumanizing.

No one is doing it for fun.

ADHD in a nutshell:
“If it goes away when you take your meds it’s probably not a character flaw” is something I have to tell myself often.

We suck at this game lol. Absolutely adore it though, it's really fun once you get into it. Great for distraction because of it being a rhythm game.

It's been months, but we're back.

Decided to give this platform another go. Will post more loosely, so no more mostly autism-only posts. I want to make this a relaxed experience for us.

Hi everyone!!

Autism special interest is coming back up. So is my Stim Toy special interest. Things are looking up for me, interest wise.

I haven't been interested in anything for a while, except for my ESSA. But she's mostly resting now, too.

I'm feeling a little better.
