That one "worst programming language of all time" video makes a lot of good points but unfortunately it is chock full of AI generated images so my only conclusion is that the author is a dipshit and I am now C++'s strongest soldier.

I could never have anticipated that out of all the modern Ninja Gaiden games, the Nintendo DS one would be the most interesting to me.

I have a personal gaming white whale in the form of a multiplayer-focused cooperative imsim game. The closest things I've played to this were Secret Agent Wizard Boy and System Shock 2's unfinished coop but MAN what I'd give for a full version of that.

Beat em ups are the only genre where people will say unironically "You mash buttons and hope you don't get hit" and think they're making a real point and giving actual criticism instead of realizing that if you said this about any other genre of game no one would listen to your opinions ever again.

The fact we're seeing so many roguelite arcade/retro game revivals nowadays feels indicative to me of a tendency to discount the static and designer-directed approach or run-based arcade games in favor of "endless" randomly generated content because it gives players the impression of "more value".

I should replay Mayhem Brawler, it's the darkest horse of the modern indie bmup scene (I'm the only person I know to have played it), and it was by all accounts very good on the gameplay front.

I went to meet the 'Rockstar 31', the developers who were suddenly fired from their work on GTA 6 for what the studio has described as gross misconduct.
That's not what the workers call it though. They have another couple of words they prefer to use: union busting.
