I'm old enough to remember when "armed agents of the federal government raiding churches on Christmas" was not, in fact, a cornerstone of the Republican Party's agenda.

We don't need any "warrior ethic" to win wars. We don't need to commit war crimes. We're already exceptionally good at winning wars. Every one since Vietnam, in no time at all enemy armies are beaten.
