gonna become the equivalent of a ludocentrist but for film. gonna start saying how lots of modern blockbuster movies have bad stories and they’ll never be as good as books, so film as a medium should abandon narrative and return to its roots: making audiences think a train is coming right at them

big change to the combat flow: YOU can also get disarmed
even if you deflect perfectly, once your posture maxes out it'll disarm you and you'll be in unarmed mode. you have to decide whether to run for your sword or keep up the pressure, but keep in mind you'll need your sword for certain counters

All of the companies that make the software I use are increasing their prices, to account for an "investment" in AI.

The death of Flash basically killing an entire segment of independent and free game development overnight is one of those things that never really gets spoken about, which is a real shame because a lot of that first generation of Newgrounds talent did break into the animation and games industries.
I genuinely think kids in the mid-to-late aughts growing up on emulators (read: piracy) may genuinely have been far, far healthier for the future of the industry than all the kids growing up on stuff like Roblox being the norm.

Mid-00s humor was so mean-spirited. Dudes were so shitty to each other (at least the dudes in my subculture circles, and that's the same kind of dudes I'm writing about). It's genuinely a wonder so many of us made it out of that era alive (and not all of us did).

It's also not an accident that it's a story set in the mid-00s. There's some things I'm nostalgic for for that era, sure! That was my formative era! I miss a good flip phone as much as the next guy. But it was also a heinous, heinous, HEINOUS time to be young and queer.
