Apple's Time Machine pisses me off. Finicky, offers very little feedback, troubleshooting is usually 'Delete your instance and start over'. Takes ALL DAY to work.
Acronis? Backs up at wire speed in like 45 minutes. Gives you status updates. Error messages that mean something. Fuckin' refreshing.

Apple's Time Machine pisses me off. Finicky, offers very little feedback, troubleshooting is usually 'Delete your instance and start over'. Takes ALL DAY to work.
Acronis? Backs up at wire speed in like 45 minutes. Gives you status updates. Error messages that mean something. Fuckin' refreshing.

We get to fly in a couple days amid the government shutdown and it makes me miss Canada - when the government can’t agree on a budget the government dissolves and an election happens. We REALLY need that here.

How does Apple’s Time Machine suck so bad? 9 hours to make a differential backup once a day is absurd. Especially when more often than not it fails with network issues.
