Progression Tree I moved to this city seven saves ago. The quest log is empty, but objectives glow: Establish Base of Operations. Find Party Members. Increase Local Reputation. Wandering through the grid, the dialogue trees are all on the fritz. Up against endless interactive cut scenes that I end up failing, then the lack of direction has me flailing. Most nights I just take a side quest. Leaving with temporary companionship buffs, and subsequent de-buffs derailing self worth. I keep pausing to open the menu. Checking my standing with each new name: Friendly. Neutral. Romantic Interest. Not the dynamic I’m looking for. A total fucking bitch. A progress bar that fills with shared enjoyment, then empties by morning. I am grinding for affection points in a game they don’t know we’re playing. My brain is an outdated engine rendering the world in rigid stats. I am constantly calculating my level in your life, wondering what achievement I unlocked to deserve your attention. And terrified of the invisible meter; that triggers the permanent apathy status effect. I am trying to stop reading the walkthrough. Trying to believe that connection isn't a skill to max, but the old code runs deep. So I lie here in another stranger’s safe house, staring at the ceiling, waiting for the +1 Happiness to kick in, sound effects volume turned to max and listening.

IMO Alt text is nice to have but it’s left to a poster’s discretion. I’m colorblind but wouldn’t expect all hanging art in every person’s home to be modified so I can see color differences better
