I don't hate on bad games if they clearly make an effort. I will forever love The Demon Rush for shooting for the moon and blowing its own legs off.

But when I see an RPG Maker game proudly announcing that it's part-written by ChatGPT? Fuck everyone involved in that game. Absolute losers.

I long for a time when we had silly goofball movies to watch, and intelligent serious people in power.

Now we have intelligent serious movies, and silly goofballs in power.

The desperate need to accumulate more and more at the cost of everyone else’s wellbeing should be classified as a mental disorder, and I will absolutely die on this hill.
Guillermo del Toro on wealth: "a wealthy man is a man who has enough, not a man that needs more. If you have enough to invite someone for a beer? You're rich. If you have a yacht, planes, islands, and you still need more? You're not rich."

Between Blippo+ and Silent Hill f, my favourite gaming experiences of 2025 have been all about repeated plays, uncovering new connections and re-interpreting the meanings written between the lines. My favourite discoveries have been stories that are not explicitly shown on screen or in gameplay.

I think it would be beneficial to everyone if every man woman and child in America put their phones down for a couple days.

Sometimes we’re unsatisfied with a thing we made because when it only existed in our head, we saw all the things it could have been and when it’s done we know all the things that it isn’t, but we can’t see the way it expands into a million new things when someone else unpacks it in their head. 🖊️🦑

After boarding a bus yesterday, I saw a gormless rube asking ChatGPT where it was going.

Blindly getting on a bus and asking ChatGPT where it’s headed is a perfect microcosm of where we are as a society.

Especially when buses have readily available route maps for anyone willing to pull them up.

American mainstream political culture makes a lot more sense when you realize that most people's goal is not to improve their own conditions but rather to make the people they imagine to be their enemies mad

How did we get an entire corporate and political world full of scumbags and bastards, all we did was incentivize that behavior at every turn

i know it's just advertisement but it still pisses me off when tech CEOs claim AGI will solve humanity's problems with its vast intelligence. for a lot of problems we already know the solutions, what prevents them being solved is not a lack of intelligence, but that the solutions are unprofitable

What if writing dialogue was a joyful, purposeful, and creative task? What if I wanted to read dialogue somebody else had written, to connect with them through their ideas and stories?

What if creation was about more that churning out #Product as quickly and cheaply as possible?

I’d already committed to preordering Playdate Season 2 before I learned it contains a special surprise: Blippo+ seems to be a weird af, LIVE 1bit FMV ARG. I’ve been channel surfing for the last couple days, trying to unwrap its mysteries. What new discoveries will future broadcasts bring??

Friends, if you are in NYC please come to this special screening of Hayao Miyazaki's directorial debut FUTURE BOY CONAN. It's always been a dream so have something like this screen at Japan Society to help celebrate this series' place in anime history.

Nicholas Cruz shot and killed 17 people at Parkland school. He's in prison. Luigi Mangione killed 1 person and they're seeking the death penalty. What's the difference? The kids at Parkland weren't millionaires.

I know it got way overshadowed by other big announcements, but that Wheelchair Basketball game looks promising. Two-handed mouse & gesture controls is a cool idea. I wonder if the mouse will work if you play it on your lap?

To those despairing at fascist propagandists using genAI to cynically ape the look of Studio Ghibli: put your phone in a drawer & watch yr favourite Ghibli film with your heart wide open. Embrace the life that flows from each frame. Ghibli is more than a static aesthetic; it’s a spirit of vitality.
