Corporations bought up every vendor for feed, fertilizer, pesticides and then jacked up prices for farmers.

Meat-processing mergers have resulted in monopolies in many markets, so they can pay farmers however little they want.

This is a Golden Age for oligarchs. Farmers voted for this.
