It fails to address the single most important driver of cost: Healthcare must not be profit-driven. With profit motive, there’s no cure. Just a Band Aid on a knife wound.

While this is 100% true, I think it’s remiss to not acknowledge the tens of millions who had coverage before the ACA, but then couldn’t afford the premiums and deductibles for their new ACA plans.

My premium went from $300 to $1,200. My deductible went from $0 to $5,000. I could not afford care.
