States really just need to make it so ICE can't enter without being straight up arrested.
Multiple sources have confirmed that ICE/Border Patrol is headed back to the Raleigh and Durham areas for undefined deportation actions. We've heard 50 ICE agents, charter flights and hotels booked for all of them in the Raleigh area.

Let us know what you hear.

I miss the kind of days I had as a kid. I would litterally pack a back pack with water and lunch and a few other things like a pocket knife and string and go our in the woods all day and forage and play with the animals and swing from tree to tree to travel through the forest. I miss it alot.

The death of browsing is part of the reason art is the way it is now. Our opinions are largely fed to us by algorithms. Spending a spare 15 minutes wandering around a bookstore or comic shop or video rental place was how you found stuff you wouldn't ordinarily pick up and thereby expanded your taste
Bookselling is like the most "people go to the store and buy what looks cool to them without a particular agenda" type business left, and your purchases have a huge influence on what is ordered, what is displayed, and what is recommended.

I have e been athletic my entire life. Highschool was wrestling, football, cross country, after that I got really into martial arts and body building, tried a bit of roller derby, and after that I started training powerlifting/strong man. That's when I messed up my back. I just started climbing...

Our tax dollars fund EVERYTHING. Nothing we receive from the government is a “handout” or even a “benefit”.
IT IS OUR FUCKING RIGHT.
IT IS OUR FUCKING GOVERNMENT.
IT IS OUR FUCKING MONEY.
We have been LIED TO, MANIPULATED,
USED & ABUSED
our entire lives. May we all UNITE against the evil oligarchs.

You’re in organized crime.

Since I have started going climbing regularly, I have lost 15 lbs! I also only consider the weight lost if I stay a weight for a whole week. I would love to get back down to 180. But I don't know if that's even possible the muscle hasn't really gone anywhere from when I was training power lifting.

This is a great thread. I appreciate the work you did here. Fascism is a bipartisan project.
I keep vaguely talking about the betrayals of the democratic party.
Let me give some concrete examples.

1. Airline deregulation act
2. The third way positions taken in the 80s.
3. NAFTA
4. Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act (Biden mind you!)

Trump is trying to start a war so he can suspend elections. Remember when he was talking to Zelensky and how excited he got when he heard about not holding elections when they are at war?
That is what he is planning...
There are specific reasons Trumpists want war on Venezuela, but there‘s a generic one: they crave power to make war on anyone, any time, for completely fabricated reasons, and then to use the guise of war to increase violence and repression everywhere, including home.

They are lawless bestial scum.

I love when people remember these things that happened that prove our elections are FULLY & irreparably compromised.
You’re also going to ignore the burned ballot boxes, missing ballots, Dem precinct bomb threats, Elon propaganda machine & $250m donation, bullet ballots, statistical improbability in swing states & Trump admitting Elon is good with voting machines. That’s why we’re an authoritarian oligarchy now.

I will never forget about learning about the pilgrims and students bragging about how their families came over on the mayflower and I told my mom about it when I got home and she was like, that's nothing! Our family was here BEFORE the mayflower and I proceeded to brag about it the next day @school.

Executives like AI because it is a brainwashing tool that let's them change the narrative to whatever the fuck they feel like and it goes along with all their crazy ideas and confirms their biases. And it's just a never ending feedback loop. Wash rinse repeat.
A study by Dayforce shows 87% of executives use AI for work, compared to 57% of managers and just 27% of employees.

I think this explains the massive disconnect we see in how CEOs talk about AI versus everyone else. It also raises the question of how useful it truly is for frontline work?
Execs are embracing AI more than their employees are, new research suggests
Research from HR software company Dayforce suggests that executives are leaning into AI far more than their employees.
