I feel like we’re at the point where enough streamers could organize a competing convention space in San Diego during TwitchCon weekend and all they’d need to say is “we have the space, we have security, and we won’t cancel your events or take your shit” and they’d get better numbers than Twitch.

You'll note there's a pattern with actors who took roles held by striking performers

They'll say "these auditions often don't say what the project is"

But when you follow up with "but did THIS project make it clear that it was Genshin?" they fall remarkably silent and reply to other people.

I’ve seen a lot of people say that Jacob Takanashi didn’t know about the Genshin VA strike. But do we actually know that?

I’m aware that another VA stated that he didn’t know. I just find it odd that Jacob never came out and confirmed it himself (afaik at least, I’m not on Twitter)

Do any of you feel as though there's a point in your life where you'll be pressured to drop the hobbies you enjoy because they're too childish? How do you reconcile that if so? I constantly nag at myself that I shouldn't be playing video games but do it anyways

Like many others who have commented on the Swartz case in the wake of his suicide, I was transformed by this Internet freedom activist, albeit from a distance. When the news of his case broke in 2011, I was struck by his act of downloading millions of articles from JSTOR and reflected on how his efforts might someday help to make scholarship equally available across the world. Living at the time in Palestine, I was haunted by the fact that none of the scholars I met could gain access to JSTOR’s rich archive of material on their own literary heritage.
