If you have a bookmarks folder full of all your faves, you can periodically "open all in tabs" and scan through for all updates you'd want, in a far more direct way than scrolling these sites until you fucking feel something :)

I've been loving seeing people look up non-social media sites of artists they love and learn stuff they didn't know, or that they can support the artists soon on tours/events! Copy me and pitch the same idea to your people. It's never been more "fuck platforms", let's find and bookmark REAL websites

I can't believe this perfectly good website is going to slowly die now because of the adults who own and monitor it making the world "waffles" a passive-aggressive way of saying they hate and don't want to think about their own most at-risk users.

The owners of the site were joking about the "I like pancakes/oh so you hate waffles?" social media behavior and when users brought up real issues like the presence of Jesse Singal, one of the security people replied "waffles" and now they're all saying "waffles" in response to any concerns jokingly
