Do not switch it to the Nations League. Every team deserves a fair shot to qualify, and some amazing stories - Faroe Islands, Kosovo, Cape Verde, Curaçao and Suriname, Jordan and Uzbekistan - have come out of qualifying for this World Cup.

I know everyone hates the international break, and that qualifiers seem like a procession of pointless games with an obvious conclusion. But that is only the view from the world's major nations. Very good article that sums up a lot of what I’ve been thinking.

Of course Premier League matches are 10x better pound-for-pound (the players train together every week). But I don’t always find club football more ‘interesting’. There should always be a place for random / fun internationals.

The tickets have barely gone on sale, they're not "sold out", and he absolutely cannot take them away, he has no power to decide where the World Cup is played. It's FIFA's call.

Curaçao 1-1 Trinidad and Tobago. Dropped points for the home side and that gives Jamaica a massive open door to retake top spot in the group.

If any of the teams mentioned in the first post required the Nations League spot, that'd officially eliminate Israel.

No guarantees for anyone other than Germany, France, Wales and Czechia as of yet. They're first in line for those who aren't guaranteed top two in their Group (yet)

At least Moldova, San Marino and one of Belgium, Wales or North Macedonia would be confirmed to get Playoffs ahead of Israel.

So in other words, it's a massive longshot for them to make it.

I celebrated too early. They can still get in the Playoffs via the Nations League.

But they'd need all of the above to finish in the top two:

Germany, France, Czechia, Romania, Sweden, Northern Ireland, Serbia, Hungary, and Poland.
