The government and NHS know helplines do nothing, this is purely symbolic so the press and ignorant liberals can say “look, they are still going above and beyond to help the transgenders”. It doesn’t matter that it’s pointless, that a helpline can’t replace actual medical care! It’s just for show
Since the government repeatedly signposts trans people to helplines I searched for evidence for their effectiveness in reducing distress in people with gender dysphoria, who cannot access medical care. There isn’t any.
I thought this government and health secretary was all about evidence.

People may find it confusing that trans folk are totally shut out of the media yet the BBC is accused of pro trans bias. It’s because the current anti trans movement is eliminationist, they want us completely gone from society. Until the BBC advocates for this they will be accused pro trans bias!

It looks like that BBC page has been updated in the last few minutes, so that's no longer the last sentence. I think part of it has been moved to this paragraph in the middle of the article, and the age is no longer mentioned:

A lot of things have happened over the last decade and one of the biggest is how many 'progressives' have revealed themselves to be perfectly fine with racism and transphobia.
All the supposedly progressive people saying 'Nigel Farage's racism doesn't matter. His fans love it'.
It matters whether the leader of the party leading all the opinion polls is an outright racist. It matters if he called black people 'wogs' and said 'gas them' to Jews. Not everything is a game
