There were three No Kings protests in Thousand Oaks throughout the day.

If you’re familiar with this town, you know that it’s not exactly a hot bed of activism.

It’s a good sign that Trump and his MAGA fascists can’t even bully the people of Thousand Oaks.

Here's the thing: Nobody wants to hear about the virtues of their oppressors. If you know you're talking to someone who was (or even who thinks they were) oppressed by the subject of a conversation, it is in stunningly bad taste to force them to engage in or listen to you extolling their virtues.

The internet in general was always a hostile space, ppl being mean wasn't uncommon. But man recently it's like all i see. I didn't used to see it as often, artists shittin on other artists. It's almost become socially okay to shit on ppl who even remotely draw anything sexual leaning.

yeah, as much as they demand evidence from us they absolutely don’t care about facts.

Emotional appeal is the only way to communicate with them, and for most only if you’re connecting it to their existing feelings/beliefs/opinions.

This morning, I was hit in the face by a baton.

I’m going to have a pretty gnarly bruise but we need to remember why this is happening: Trump and ICE are rounding up our neighbors, treating them as subhuman, and shipping them off to labor camps in foreign countries. It has to end.
