For my old and new followers, here are some fandoms and favorite characters you can get to know me by.

Curious to see what we have in common and what this says about me.
There are still some good critics and media criticism channels out there.

The problem is that the algorithms make them very hard to find. The worst people who parrot the worst bad faith criticism will always be promoted over them.

In no particular order:

Donkey Kong Bananza
Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma
Date Everything
Mario Kart World
Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar
Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter remake
Pokémon Legends Z-A

I still need to play Clair Obscur, Hades II, and Silksong.

Constant exposure to social media and now AI slop is one of the worst things to happen to humanity as a whole.

We are worse off as a species for it. The damage to critical thinking and reading comprehension alone will be felt for a long time.

I've been hearing some variation of "cinema is dying" for the past twenty years, if not sooner.

Every time there's a new trend or the general audience tastes' shift, film nerds loudly proclaim that "cinema is dying", only for movies to keep making money.

Andor S2
Hazbin Hotel S2
Alien Earth
The Knights of Guinevere pilot

Older shows that I watched for the first time this year:

King of the Hill
Frieren: Beyond Journey's End
Murder Drones
Name your tv show of the year.

If you're rich enough to afford a mansion or yacht, then you should be taxed more.

Billionaires and millionaires are long overdue to start paying their fair share. Take their money and use it to pay for things like healthcare, education, transportation, and affordable housing.

It's always refreshing to see celebrities like David Tennant and Pedro Pascal be outspoken allies and use their platform for good despite the harassment.

They will be the ones who will be remembered, not the bigots who throw away their careers and fade away into obscurity.

Still convinced that hatedoms are incredibly forced and the biggest reason people do them is for clout and because they think it makes them look cool.

It didn't make you cool back in high school, and it makes you look pathetic as an adult.

No matter how much the press, foreign troll farms, and propagandists tell you otherwise, Trump and his agenda are not popular and this is another reason why doomerism helps nobody.

If I see a YouTube thumbnail that looks like this or this, then I'm not only not watching, but I'm instantly hitting that don't recommend channel button.

Because you know these videos will be filled with bad faith criticism and barely disguised bigotry.

It's a tough choice between Bender and Leela out of the main cast.

Bender is the one who makes me laugh the most, but I also love Leela for being a badass who doesn't take crap from anybody.

Anti-fun killjoys and NIMBYs have got to be some of the most miserable people on the planet. These people are never happy.

Instead, they're always bitter, angry, and choose to be miserable as they seek to destroy anything that might bring people joy or help others.

Not sure who needs to hear this, but something existing in the same genre as other things or even sharing similar themes and ideas does not mean that thing is a "rip off".

It's less about the ideas being similar, but more about how they're executed.

I feel like social media was ruined by two things:

When Gamergate happened and none of the people responsible for the mass harassment campaign were punished.

When billionaires and algorithms took over and all the worst people figured out how to game the system.

Is this why the captions for Frieren were so bad that I had to turn them off?

These studios have to realize that using AI slop is only going to make their product or service worse. It'll cost them more money than if they didn't use it.
After publishing this article, I've heard from many that CR seems to be using AI to produce dub CCs. Now, thanks to a slip-up CR had with episode 6 dub of The Banished Court Magician, we can say that with 100% certainty: Crunchyroll is using the AI service Ollang.com for its dub closed captions!

The far-right aren't nearly as funny as they think they are.

Most of the time, what they're laughing at is their poorly disguised bigotry and cruelty. They still think using slurs is funny, and it shows how little they've matured and have no desire for self-improvement.

You don't have to like everything, but I do find that positivity is always a better way to experience art and media as opposed to constant negativity and whining.

Don't like something? Move on and find something you do like.

Why is he getting mad at other creatives for taking inspiration from existing stories and doing their own thing with it? Especially when that's most of new media the past few decades.

And this is rich coming from Quentin Tarantino.

Kill Bill director Quentin Tarantino has said The Hunger Games "ripped off" Battle Royale, and expressed surprise that the Japanese writer of the cult classic original didn’t sue The Hunger Games author Suzanne Collins. https://bit.ly/44fDUkf

I'm on season 13 of King of the Hill now and it's interesting that Hank has only once actually kicked someone's ass, and it was the rich creep from the dolphin episode who deserved it.

What I like about Hank is that he ends up outwitting the people who wrong him and his friends.

Another thing about the anti-"WoKe" chuds is that I don't think people are fans of them specifically. It's more like they flocked to the loudest voice telling them exactly what they want to hear.

That support is always superficial, and it explains why there's so many of them.

"I don't like this movie and therefore I think it was made by AI or it might as well have been made by AI" is some of the laziest and most bad faith criticism I've seen.

Not to mention its incredibly disrespectful to the actual humans who worked on that project.
November 27, 2025 at 10:02 PM
Zootopia 2 and Stranger Things season 5 are both going to do incredibly well.

It's almost as if social media hatedoms have zero impact on the real world and the people who encourage them are miserable losers.
November 27, 2025 at 5:57 PM
Studios and celebrities who pander to the far-right will only end up hurting themselves.

They'll alienate their existing fans
The far-right won't flock to see their movies because they don't actually enjoy anything

It's lose-lose.

The funniest thing about Elon is that he might have all the money in the world, but he still can't buy being liked, being a good person, being funny, or a personality.

He's an example of why I think that right-wing men haven't matured past the age of ten.

Reminder that it's healthy to set boundaries on social media and block the bad faith assholes and trolls.
